The result is a personal artwork developed with the client and completed by hand.

My work started with an obsession with form, likeness, anatomy, and legacy—sculpting character long before I ever touched a computer. Every portrait is developed digitally in ZBrush, then printed, cast, and finished entirely by hand, bridging traditional sculptural thinking with modern fabrication.
Whether it's a private family portrait or an institutional commission, the goal is the same: turn a person's likeness into something permanent.
Two moments, one portrait
Sean first shared a younger portrait of Rick, then a more recent photograph. Neither image alone contained the complete person he wanted to honor.
Instead of choosing one age, I blended the strength of the younger face with the experience of the later years, creating a portrait that exists between two moments.
A farewell with permanence
When Crista’s boss left the company, she chose a portrait sculpture as a farewell gift—something personal enough to carry the memory of his leadership beyond the office.
The glasses were not treated as an accessory. Their thickness, bridge, alignment, and relationship to the eyes were constructed as part of the likeness.
Family legacy
Omar wanted a portrait that could hold more than physical likeness. Working from family photographs, the sculpture was shaped around the quiet presence and character his father carried.

A birthday made personal
Christine wanted a birthday gift for her husband that felt unmistakably like him. The open smile, bow tie, and energetic expression became the emotional center of the sculpture.
A personal message on the reverse transformed the portrait into a private object carrying words intended only for him.
A daughter’s portrait of her father
Sydney commissioned a portrait of her father using photographs that showed different sides of his personality—formal, relaxed, and smiling.
The objective was not simply to reproduce a photograph, but to find the expression his family would immediately recognize.
Celebrating achievement
Colin’s commission centered on a husband whose professional recognition was matched by a distinctive personal presence. The portrait had to feel polished without losing the directness of the man behind the achievement.

Institutional recognition
When the American Osteopathic Association wanted an award substantial enough to match the honor itself, they turned to a portrait of the man who started the profession—Andrew Taylor Still, founder of osteopathic medicine.
Rather than a plaque, the bust became the centerpiece of the ceremony, placed directly into each honoree's hands as their name was called.
From memory to form
Every stage exists to protect the likeness, meaning, and physical quality of the final sculpture.
We define who the person is, why the sculpture matters, and what the portrait should communicate.
Photographs from different ages and angles are compared to understand structure, character, clothing, and expression.
The likeness is constructed from anatomy outward, then refined through the details that make the subject recognizable.
The client sees the portrait before production and provides one focused round of likeness feedback.
The approved work is prepared, produced, assembled, and carefully refined into a durable physical sculpture.
Surface, patina, inscription, and final presentation are completed by hand before inspection and delivery.

Questions before we begin
Clear front, three-quarter, and profile views are ideal. Informal photographs are also valuable because they reveal natural expression. If the images come from different ages, I can recommend how they may be combined.
Often, yes. The feasibility depends on how much facial information survives across the available references. I review the photographs before accepting the project and explain any limitations honestly.
Yes. One focused likeness review is included before physical production. This stage is intended for meaningful corrections, not a complete change of the approved artistic direction.
The standard target is approximately three weeks after the references, direction, and payment are confirmed. Complex projects or specialized finishes may require additional time.
Dark bronze, warm bronze, black, and selected custom finishes are available. Bronze casting, specialized bases, and complex accessories are quoted separately.
Shipping is calculated separately based on the sculpture size, destination, packaging, and insurance requirements. Initial online commissions are limited to the United States.
